if they are actually more than just myth or legend.

After a short period of gestation the 'elemental' is felt twitching, turning, and kicking within, 
it then causes excruciating agony as it crawls upward within the host body, 
a journey that may last up to three days, 
until it lodges itself within the esophagus, 
causing asphyxiation.
